Jackie Aina Shows Off Her Soon-To-Be-Released Foundation Shade And We're Drooling

Jackie Aina Shows Off Her Soon-To-Be-Released Foundation Shade And We're Drooling

If you follow the world of beauty influencers, there is no doubt that you know Jackie Aina. Known for her energetic and honest videos, Jackie is a major force in the beauty community. Her YouTube channel consists of product reviews, tutorials, candid GRWM (Get Ready With Me) convos, and games with her boyfriend Denis, who loves her but is 101% clueless about beauty.

She is an avid supporter of shade inclusion and has openly expressed her struggle of finding shades for her skin tone many times on her channel. In addition to reviewing new products, Jackie films many collaborations with other YouTubers and influencers. In a recent collab with Alissa Ashley (another YouTuber known for her emphasis on inclusion) titled, “Black Girls React to Tarte Shape Tape Foundation” they offered their strong thoughts on the extremely hyped foundation which received major backlash when it was released earlier this year. Their review started off comically as they read every shade name aloud, showing the multitude of light shades and only a few dark shades. In the video, Jackie said that the release of the Shape Tape foundation was “the most anti climatic launches that we’ve seen in a long time.”

On Jackie’s channel, viewers can easily see her passion for making the beauty world more inclusive. This passion made her the perfect person to help Too Faced Cosmetics with the shade expansion of their infamous Born This Way foundation. She announced her own collab with Too Faced Cosmetics in August 2017 in an Instagram Birthday post for her 30th birthday.

The news brought happiness to many of Jackie’s followers, who were excited to finally try the popular product.  After not receiving much news on the project, Aina’s followers received news of the release on March 18th in her “Get Glam With Me!” video.  In the video, Jackie talks about the new shades as she applies her foundation, “I can’t show you the foundation I'm using, well, yes I can! It’s the Too Faced Born This Way but it’s the new shade I created!” She expresses her initial struggles with the foundation and how she could never find her perfect match. After developing the new shades she “can finally see what the hype is all about!” While not releasing an official date for the launch, Jackie mentions that they will come out soon.

Jackie’s collab with Too Faced is exciting for many reasons. Primarily, the release of deeper shades means that more people get to try the amazing Born This Way foundation. Additionally, the launch marks an important advancement in the beauty industry; Too Faced’s support of a woman of color on YouTube is a major step towards inclusion. The anticipation is real to see Jackie’s improvements to the Born This Way collection. Knowing Jackie’s success and passion, there is no doubt that the new shades will be nothing short of perfect.
